Request a Coupon Code

One of the things I'm working on for QuickRewards.net is maintaining a coupon code database for some of the more popular merchants.  One of these days (she says, with a wistful gleam in her eyes) I'd like to see QR have a full list of all codes available for all merchants... but have you SEEN how many merchants QR rewards for?  I think it might be easier to list the merchants in Cyberspace that QR does NOT award cashback for!  Egad!



So, for right now, until a better system is in place, I'd like to keep current a list of YOUR favorite merchants' coupon codes.  To do this, I need to know who they are!

Where do you like to shop?  Where do you "window shop" online and then stop short of checking out, thinking, "Well, maybe if I had a coupon code to bring the total down a little more...or for free shipping..."  Please, take a second, help me help YOU, and leave a comment letting me know what stores you'd particularly like to see current coupons and free shipping offers for!

So my 1st suggestion is definitely Coldwater Creek.

2nd is Woman Within. (Well, actually, all of the Redcats sites would be nice: Brylane Home, Roaman's, Bargain Catalog Outlet, OneStopPlus, etc.)

Also Target, Circuit City, Barnes & Noble & Staples.

Would love to have a "search engine" that would search just the "purchasing sites" on QR. Might even be profitable for QR as My Points even rewards for "web search" using same engine.

Free Shipping or low cost shipping (Overstock) is a must for me.

My regular shopping sites on QR are: Shoebuy.com, drugstore.com, amazon.com, avon.com, overstock.com, (couldn't use last time as link not working and no reply to my inquiry)

Having to shop at another reward site for JC Penneys.

Kohl's. They usually have free shipping when you buy 75.00 and send out a coupon code to credit card holders from 10-30% off every few months. You have to use the Kohls credit card to get the percent off. I always use the 30 percent off code and free shipping which is a great savings. They just did this a few weeks ago, so I am figuring it to happen again within the next few months. I will post the code for those who want it when it arrives. The code is the same for everyone, just different for the value.

Here's a suggestion: If you want the 'Comments' to this blog entry to continue (the part about what stores folks want coupon codes for), maybe you should consider putting a specific link to these comments in your Blog header... (And/or any other ongoing or explanatory stuff.) Or maybe a menu bar, if you want to go that route.

Yeah, I know you have a menu of links on the right side of the blog, but I'm just wondering if something that's always at the TOP might be more effective.

I thought you were definitely on the right track, when you went to the trouble to explain how coupon codes work. But that was a while ago, & I think it's kinda 'buried', by now. That would also be a good thing to always have readily available. (New people come to QR, every day, etc.)

In my experience, most folks don't scroll down far enough to even see past the most recent blog entries, once a few new ones are on top, to grab their attention. This is especially true if they've already considered the deal being discussed in the older entry. So they might forget that you asked the question, even if they're about to shop through a QR link. (Yeah, I KNOW ~ sounds strange, but it's true!)

I personally want to squeeze every last penny I can out of each & every shopping experience, so shopping without sale prices, coupon codes AND cash back is strange to me. But folks do what they know. So getting coupon codes to save even more than the cash back offer may not even occur to them as a possibility. (Especially if they aren't familiar with the practice.)

So, what do you think? (I hope I haven't just inadvertently demonstrated my point, by going on for a while...) ;)

I'm sorry, Ginger, but Hotels.com doesn't have any coupon codes out right now. They have a promo that's available on-site, though, for $20 back by mail on a 3 night stay, if that would help!
