I've been looking at the side banner on QRDeals this week and wondering, what the heck IS Resveratrol?
It's derived from grapes and contains some of the same antioxidant properties as red wine. There have been studies that show that it lowers LDL (bad) cholesterol while raising HDL (good) cholesterol. A Cornell researcher found that it was associated with decreased rates of heart disease in the French population he studied.
Some other claims related to Resveratrol's benefits which also haven't been conclusively proven include that it has anti-aging properties (reduces wrinkles) and prevents Parkinson's and Alzheimer's.
So, it sounds like it gives you the benefits of red wine without the alcohol.
